How to choose the right bra size

A well-fitting bra is a wardrobe essential, yet about 80% of people don't know their correct size. A bra shouldn't pinch anywhere, but it should stay in place. It's not that hard, the key is to measure yourself correctly. How to do it? Let's take a look together.

To measure correctly, you will need:

  • Tailor's tape measure
  • Mirror
  • Non-padded bra

Underbust circumference

  1. Stand straight and relaxed.
  2. Hold the tailor's tape measure horizontally directly along the bust line - we recommend checking in the mirror. Read the value when exhaling and keep the tape as tight as possible on the body. Round the centimeters down, and if your measured size is on the edge between two sizes in the chart, choose the smaller one.
The band should carry 80% of the breast weight, so it needs to be accurate. Every material will loosen a bit over time, so it's better to have the option to move the fastening to the next hooks.

Bust circumference

Measure the bust circumference in a similar way. It's better to take measurements in a bra with light padding. If you have a push-up bra or one with really large padding, it's better to measure without a bra.
  1. Hold the tape horizontally, this time over the fullest part of the bust.
This measurement determines the cup size, which should be deep enough.

And how do you know if the bra fits correctly?

  • It doesn't gap anywhere, but it doesn't pinch either.
  • The cups beautifully follow the bust line.
  • The end of the underwire should point towards the center of the armpit.
  • It doesn't move when you raise your arms.
  • The straps don't dig into your shoulders.
